          Best 50/50 shot

I've finally got my butt into gear and done a test patch on our Sti.
We purchased it from a elderly guy and I really wish he spent the same time/money he did looking after the paint as he did mechanically.

I only used my phone for these photos but when I do a full correction I'll use the Slr. I found it quite difficult to get a 50/50 on white with the phone so here is a before after.
I really do apologise for the quality of these shots.

          Scholl Blue polishing pad.
          S30 2 passes.

Here is an attempt at a 50/50

One of my favourites - did it to show someone who couldn't see any swirls how bad their paint was

Quick headlight correction today on a work colleague/friends WRX. She was really pleased with the result.
It was the first time I'd touched someone else's car. I knew exactly what I was doing. I knew what the finish would be like but I was so damn nervous.

                          Its more a before/after than a 50/50.

"Accidental" 50-50 from me today. Gave the damaged area on this bonnet a quick once over with menz 4000 on a black pad to get rid of some marks post-repair, without thinking about the condition of the paint. Managed to "blend" the polished area into the bonnet reasonably well by going around it with the same pad by hand

3 guesses at the make of this car?

The thing that you do, after your day job, in your free time, early in the morning or late at night. The thing you read about, write about, think about, fantasize about. that thing you do alone and theres no one to impress, nothing to prove, no money to be made, simply a passion to pursue. Thats it, thats your thing, thats your heart , your guide, Thats the thing you must, must do.
