Cheap syn wool wash mitts arrived from Aliexpress seller in China. I will use these as my wheel mitts, been using the a very similar one for the last 15 years and very happy with it. Used to be able to find these cheapies everywhere back in the day ( pre mf everywhere days ) but now it's either top end real lambswool mitt or MF mitts or some sort. Paid US$10 each shipped.

      Niiiiiiiiiiiice

Reckon you could do a quick review or give us your thoughts on its application? I ended up picking Optimum over Gtechniq because the Evo seemed to be a bit more complicated in application. Keen to hear your thoughts

      • Parcel arrived this morning.

Ordered some gear and consumables from an online shop in the Netherlands - C.R.O.P; they are like Jeffersons au specialising in bodyshop supplies. Shipping cost some EUR$ 85 for the 5.2kg parcel via NL airpost, and only took 8 calender days to arrive.

Tried to ordered some ibrid nano soft brushes ( which didn't come with kit, only horsehair and stiff nylon ), and some UHS 1.2" and 2" pads from GNG sales and they said I have to buy from my Perth local agent. Rang up and they have no idea what I'm on about and need to order them in from the GNG in the East anyway and that could take couple of weeks. So I found this C.R.O.P place online, and while I was there found a lot of neat stuff that's not avail here ie Mirka P1000 3" sanding foam discs which I used with great success in HK for headlight restoration work. Came across the Rupes detailing academy polo shirt in my size also, been wanting to buy one of those ex UK but my size seems always out of stock.

The Duetto kit was bundled with the MF clothes, small bottles of yellow and blue compounds, blue and yellow pads ( blue I don't bother using at all, yellow very versatile ) and 5" P2000 and 3000 foam sanding discs and also the hard to come by 5" interface pad. With the sanding accesories very useful for me and this kit was discounted to only EUR$279 I thought I might as well.

Their shopping cart isn't geared for sales outside the EU and their website is in dutch only ( thank heavens for google translate ); but they are more than willing to send anywhere in the world. Payment is via direct bank deposit only.

EUR$279+shipping was for the Duetto kit only ( shown on the top pic ) which comprises of the polisher, MF towels, 2 qty sample size polishing liquids, 2 qty buffing pads, P2000/3000 sanding discs and interface kit. Normal price for this kit was some EUR$34x.00.

I ordered extra stuff (shown on the bottom pic ) on top to make the EUR$85 shipping worth my while.

                • Hi EG30 have just read your post re What Have You Bought Today. Any chance on feedback on how to address issue of getting Euro plug as shown in top pic to work in AUS. Cheers

                  • Just use any euro to Oz travel adapter. Same voltage standard, so no transformer required.
                    ~$8 at Bunnings...

I have since installed an adapter ( ie travel adapter ) bought from HK that converts UK as well as euro plug to Aust plug. I have taped it up with electrical tape to stop it from coming adrift. Best to chop the plug off and wire up a proper Aus power plug from clipsal, HPM etc but I CBF doing it properly as yet.

Just some quick thoughts I can certainly do, proper reviews of this category of product with decent pics takes a lot of effort not to mention can get controversial.

I have done only 4 cars so far with CSL, mostly topped with Exov3 which is meant to make water bead more, make it more durable still and less prone to water marks etc. Only started using the CSL in the 3rd quarter of last year as the product was always sold out at Ultimate finish UK prior to that. So I cannot verify the durability claims with the short time I have been using this product, not even close at this stage.

I do most cars with Optimum Gloss Coat still, and the CSL has replaced Gyeon Mohs for me. I would use CSL over Gloss coat for cars with soft paints where the additional hardness of say extra 2H or so in the real world is a real benefit for soft paints. Cars with medium to hard paints upwards I find the GC does a fine job, easy to apply non toxic no need to wear mask and very forgiving when I miss a hit spot. Durability of 2 years or better is what I have experienced so far, and provides a good solid foundation to be topped with Reload type product to fine tune the look and beading you are chasing.

The thing that you do, after your day job, in your free time, early in the morning or late at night. The thing you read about, write about, think about, fantasize about. that thing you do alone and theres no one to impress, nothing to prove, no money to be made, simply a passion to pursue. Thats it, thats your thing, thats your heart , your guide, Thats the thing you must, must do.
