  • RX3 Photo shoot

    Hi all,

Got a call last minute to help clean up this RX3 for a photo shoot.

Car was left with me for a few days which allowed me to work on it between jobs and into the night

Overall the car was really tidy and all the owner requested was a Mini Detail, a couple coats of wax and an engine bay detail.

The thing that got the most attention was all the chrome and metal bits which were all polished by hand. About 3-4 hours in total.

    Right side of alternator polished

The sun didnt want to come out and play so these were the only outdoor shots I could get when the owner picked it up.

    Cheers
    Dave

Very nice job indeed, you donít see too many of these cars nowadays that are that well maintained. Also a very nice detail on the engine bay and the chrome work, if you donít mind me asking what did you use and what procedure did you use .

      Cheers

Process was degrease engine bay with AS G101 and pressure clean. Dont want to be using anything caustic with all that chrome and polished aluminium.

Car was just covered in light dust so a pre foam then wash was done.

Paint received 2 coats of of Prima BG.

Interior cleaned and treated with Prima Nero.

              Tyres treated with Prima Nero.

Chrome, wheels and metals polished with Megs NXT metal polish.

I have been approached by a couple photographers asking what I use on the tyres as they prefer the matte new look when shooting as the glossy silicone look stands out abit too much in photoshoots
