  • Blue Mitsubishi Lancer - A Blast!

This weekend was a special one for me.

This car was my first car, my first love but due to different circumstances i had to upgrade and sell on my beloved Lancer two years ago. I achieved everything I wanted with it and loved it to death, thankfully I sold it to a family friend and he has kept it in awesome condition.
Almost two years later and not a single thing has changed except for the addition of some stickers and unfortunately some new swirls.
He also had a bit of a bad run driving over paint and in a panic wiped it off whilst the car was dirty leaving some nasty scratches on the bonnet, as well as having a branch fall on the left guard leaving behind a few rids.
None the less this weekend I put some hours it and got it to a much better standard than when I ever owned it.

Received the usual 3 bucket clean, Clay bar, Machine polish with Scholl S17+ on LC CCS orange pad, Refined with Menz 4000 on Menz Black Pad. Followed by Duragloss 601 & 105.

First up I cleaned the interior,
The Evo8 MR Recaros I put in 2 3 years ago were still in awesome condition (How I miss these seats

Car was then pulled into garage for clay bar, tape up, machine polish:

Exhaust and Headlights were also polished/cleaned

These outdoor shots are taken just before sunset as I was reversing it out to rinse before putting on LSP. I knew sun would be down once I had finished so I took a few quick snaps, the metallic really popped:

    Final Shots/After LSP:

    Thanks for Looking

Love the hint of green in the paint.

    Top job.

      Lovely work! So pretty!

These little Lancer Coupes are still a good car! I like the recaros! Any work under the bonnet?

Nice work mate! I do miss those seats on my Evo 8 MR as well. They're so comfy, provides a great lumbar support and so snug! You don't move anywhere went cornering hard!

          Thankyou
No work under the bonnet, only engine mods being a K & N Panel filter and full exhaust system with 4-2-1 headers. I was more focused on handling. Its sitting on BC Coilovers, It wasn't quiet as low as it is now but handled awesome and the recaros kept you in the seat nicely.

What is it with palm trees! Seems like everyone has palm trees to reflect in their paintwork lately haha.

Nice job and that car looks pretty awesome mate, I love the styling. Good job on the paint correction too.

I love that last shot, the blue looks so vibrant now. Excellent work, I know how you feel, once you have Recaro seats nothing else comes close.

Thanks Ash, Its a awesome blue. Haha yep, I would of loved to keep them & put them in my mps but with the new seats having airbags in them n all the other crap that wasn't possible so got a bit more coin and sold them with the car, atleast the owner loves them and looks after them to and they look awesome inside it
