  • VW Golf R (New) (Paint Correction)& Cquartz finest by Reflection Perfection

    Hi All,
This seems to be occurring a hell of a lot more these days!!! Brand new cars that infact look 5 years old!
This was a doozy. Customer had picked up all the imperfections upon pick up of the vehicle and did mention it to VW at the time but thought he may have a go at it himself.
He made his way to me and when I saw it, I was just flabbergasted!!!
I wrote up a quote and report on the vehicle and VW kindly offered to pay for the correction. I think it was the least they could do. I am not exactly sure who attacked it or what but boy, it was stuffed!
RIDS, Holograms, Swirls, Sanding marks, massive polish staining on panels, there was a lot going on! I was on this for 3 and half days.

I have made a video of the finished car but haven't got an idea how to embed, please feel free to embed if you know how to do it

    https://vimeo.com/107228911

S3 was used primarily used at correction stage, a couple of areas got S2 prior. With Scholl Spider pads
    Followed by S17 and S30
Jewelled with Reflect and coated with finest. LC CCS Gold Jewellng

A first look at the mess

And so the wash process begins, this is Iron X soap, it was followed up with straight Iron X, did not sow much contamination

    Correction Begins (Before)

    After

    After one pass S17

    50/50 outside

Jewelling with trigger speed on a flex rotary with gold ccs

    The finished Shots

    Sitting overnight

    Thanks for looking!

my eyes! The goggles, they do nothing! That was horrendous. The owner must be over the moon with it now. The paint is one thing, by how did the do so much damage to rear tail lights?

good lord thats criminal to let a car get delivered like that. How is it even possible to damage vag paint that quick without it being deliberate. Nice job handsome
The thing that you do, after your day job, in your free time, early in the morning or late at night. The thing you read about, write about, think about, fantasize about. that thing you do alone and theres no one to impress, nothing to prove, no money to be made, simply a passion to pursue. Thats it, thats your thing, thats your heart , your guide, Thats the thing you must, must do.

Brilliant Mozza! It was nice of VW to admit it and cough up the money to pay for your restoration. It just amazes me how a new car can end up in that sort of condition! Once again, fantastic work!

Incredible recovery work Mozz. That was the worst 'new' car that I've ever seen and after you had finished with your magic its probably the best new car that I've ever seen. This should be your signature work Mozz. Put up some pics of the before's and after's and people will be lining up for you to save their cars.

As we have said before, you have turned chicken shit into chicken parma!!!

"New" is such a subjective term isn't it - you have done wonders Mozza, results are fantastic. Definitely a different car - great work

            Those 50/50's are amazing

Whoever attacked that should be tried in a court of law, that was next worst thing to vandalised.

After the Mozz touch it is looking stunning. Those reflections...

Hope the dealer is sent some after photos, and a quote for staff training.

Lol someone at the dealership is going to get his arse kicked for that mess.

Well done Moz. Good to see VW prepared to pay more than peanuts to have it re-done properly

Thanks Dan, yeah was quite surprised how willing vw were to fix the issue. A lot more dealers should be like this. It was good to see.

Yet another rescue transformation from a disgraceful dealer munting - great job (as usual)
                          If it beads...

                          we can clean it.

Seems like the only thing they didn't do to that car was leave it out in the rain and/or let it drip dry in the sun.

                            Amazing finish though.
